We are a wholesaler that decided to supply direct as well. That means stock in our own warehouse, short lines, and people on the phone who have handled the floors themselves.
From wholesaler to your living room
Calitex B.V. started as a wholesaler in flooring products: LVT floors, skirting and underlays, supplied to flooring retailers and installers across the country. We still are — and that is exactly why we can be sharp on price. There is no middleman between the factory and your front door.
What we kept from that is stock that is accurate. If a design shows as available with us, it really is in the warehouse in Utrecht, and an order placed before 14:00 usually leaves the same day.
What we pay attention to
Wear layer above all
The lifespan of an LVT floor is determined almost entirely by the thickness of the wear layer — not by the total thickness of the plank. That is why we do not stock designs with a wear layer below 0.30 mm, however attractive the buying price.
Honest advice, even when it means a cheaper floor
If you have a bedroom that is walked on twice a day, it does not need a 6 mm floor. We will say so. A customer who overpaid for something they did not need does not come back.
The same colour in every format
Every design in our range is available in both herringbone and plank, and most also in dry-back. So you choose the colour you like first, and the pattern and system afterwards — not the other way round.
