Colour on a screen is not colour in your living room. Choose up to five designs, leave them a day in the room the floor is going into, and only then decide.
Why a sample makes the difference
A floor is the largest continuous surface in your home. A colour difference that barely registers in a product photo will define the whole feel of the room — and that photo was taken under studio lighting, not your daylight.
So always place a sample:
- On the floor, not vertically — light falls differently on a horizontal surface.
- Next to your furniture, and especially next to your kitchen or cabinet fronts.
- At several times of day: morning light, afternoon light and in the evening under lamplight.
